An online tool for planning work routes
Together with our client King Kong Tools, we have developed a new online info-system (intranet) module that helps employees plan their work routes, taking into account the segmentation of clients by importance, sales, location and areas of interest.
The module enables the integration of various CRM systems and thus, upon entering the geographical area (country, province, city) and determining the radius, it automatically prepares a set of customers, with a priority list of customers that the employee should include in his visit route. Alternatively, all of the company's customers can be displayed on the map with location markers.
The tool simplifies planning with the following functionalities:
All planned routes of employees can be shown on the company's shared map, which increases the transparency of planned activities and simplifies coordination between employees.
The solution is certainly particularly interesting for those who are aware of the great value of their customer list and have reservations about using monopoly solutions, as the solution is based on the Open Street Map with the integration of Leafletjs interactive elements.
Further development of the solution is aimed at supporting electric vehicle fleets, where, due to limited range capacity, more frequent planning of stops at charging stations is necessary.

The tool simplifies planning with the following functionalities:
- routes by days and hours,
- calculates distances between individual destinations (customers) in km,
- calculates the travel time between individual destinations,
- by entering the time of departure from one destination to another, the route timeline for each individual day is also recorded accordingly,
- searching for other destinations on the map (hotels, restaurants, etc.) using the search engine.
All planned routes of employees can be shown on the company's shared map, which increases the transparency of planned activities and simplifies coordination between employees.
